You are likely adding too much powder to the bottle if it is streaky. Reduce the amount on your scoop and give it another go.

Products will remain fresh for about 12 months.  We haven’t made our packaging sizes too large with this in mind.  Because they don’t contain a lot of harsh chemicals they won’t last forever.

We are looking at performing these types of tests in the future to assess the degree of antimicrobial activity but generally bacteria and viruses like COVID-19 will not be killed by household cleaners.  To make the claim of killing 99.9% of bacteria the product will generally need to contain a large proportion of alcohol or a harsh chemical disinfectant.

All our cloths are 100% biodegradable and compostable.  

The Cellulose cloths have some cotton as well as cellulose fibre. Once the cloths start to wear a little too much, cut them into smaller pieces and put them into your compost. They will decompose under compost conditions and turn into organic matter for your garden.

The bamboo cloths are also 100% biodegradable. As a general rule of thumb, any natural fibres like cotton, wool, bamboo, cellulose, hemp etc are compostable and will decompose into organic matter. Synthetic fibres such as polyester, nylon and acrylic will eventually break down (this will take many years, sometimes up to 200 years) but they break down into microplastics. 

Given most spray cleaners are more than 90% water in a plastic bottle, and there are a lot of them, the carbon footprint of the transportation of essentially water in plastic bottles around the country or even the world is huge.

e.sup is made in Australia where many supermarket brands are made overseas and shipped to Australia.  An e.sup cylinder is smaller and lighter than most plastic spray cleaners and equivalent to at least 8 of them!

Harsh chemicals like ammonia, sodium hydroxide and formaldehyde are very effective cleaners but in a household cleaning context these are not necessary. Hospitals and commercial establishments require an extra punch in their cleaning to be able to ensure 99.9% disinfectant because the types of bacteria they need to kill do not commonly exist in most households. Around 2017, before Covid-19 hit, it was recommended by government health agencies for households to stop using antibacterials unless they had an underlying medical reason to do so. Overuse of  antibacterials can produce strains of multi-resistant organisms. 

Our products are recommended for engineered stone and wood surfaces.

However, they have not been tested on natural stones (such as marble and limestone) or wood, these generally require a specialist cleaning agent to maintain the protective seals.  e.sup sodas have also not been professionally tested on these surfaces so we cannot recommend them.
